Dear Friends of United Campus Ministry:

After more than four decades of ministry at the University of Maryland (College Park), the United Campus Ministry (UCM) is in the process of dissolving, in accordance with the policies of the University that apply to chaplaincies, and in accordance with the requirements of the State of Maryland that apply to non-profit corporations.  Programs and services associated with UCM will not be offered after the conclusion of the University’s spring semester of 2024.  

Challenging circumstances, declining funding, and unforeseen realities have collectively necessitated this decision by the Board of Directors, who are pledged to faithful stewardship of the organization, its mission, and its resources.  

The Directors are grateful to the University of Maryland, to our historic sponsoring denominations (United Church of Christ; Christian Church Disciples of Christ; Presbyterian Church USA), to many supportive congregations, and to a host of generous individual donors, for enabling United Campus Ministry to serve the campus’s students, staff, faculty, and administrators with dedication and integrity over the years.
